Doom Patrol was a great sign for what was going on that night. Just their stage set-up was more then enough to keep me interested. Across the entire stage was an odd backdrop made of who knows what. On it were the faded, beat up images of the Star of David and a cross. In the front were two computer monitors that played little movies that can only be described as art films. Musically, these guys blew me away! Most of the night I tried my hardest to give them a label. They were to uppity to be goth or industrial, but far too dark to be called synth-pop. At best, they can be described as the bastard child of 80's new wave and modern dark wave. All the members of the band carried themselves perfectly, making the experience as a whole a perfect glimpse of a band who is playing for the love of music...not the love of image.
